Real Madrid announced the final diagnosis of Eduardo Camavinga’s injury in an official statement on Wednesday, while Marca newspaper explained the expected length of the French midfielder’s absence.
Camavinga suffered a serious injury on the eve of the European Super Cup match against Atalanta after a strong tackle from his compatriot and teammate in the white team, Aurelien Tchouameni.
Real Madrid said in an official statement: “Following tests carried out today on our player Eduardo Camavinga, he has been diagnosed with a sprain of the internal collateral ligament in his left knee. Pending evolution”
Marca newspaper said that this type of injury will take between 6 to 7 weeks for the player to fully recover and return to participating in matches.
Real Madrid are preparing to face Atalanta in the European Super Cup today, and will also begin their domestic campaign in the Spanish League next Sunday against Mallorca.
