Flick reveals what he said to Fermin Lopez after he sent off against Sevilla

German coach Hansi Flick revealed the words he said to his player Fermin Lopez after he was sent off in the Barcelona and Sevilla match.

Barcelona achieved a great victory over its host, Sevilla, 4/1, at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, in the 23rd round of the Spanish League.

Fermin Lopez scored Barcelona’s second goal in the 47th minute after coming on as a substitute for Gavi at the beginning of the second half, but he received a direct red card in the 58th minute.

Regarding that situation, Flick said after the match: “Yes, of course I spoke with Fermin about the expulsion and told him that it is normal, that you score an important goal and then get expelled immediately after.”

“We were pressing very hard, our tempo was very high and these things happen. But his goal was very important for us. In the end, it was a good experience for us to play 4-4-1 and defend like that and I think we did it very well.”
